Vacation Bible School 2015

A Journey Off the Map!

Journey Off the Map

We have returned from our Journey with God and have charted a lot of territory. Vacation Bible School 2015 was a blast! We had 55 children participate and over 40 volunteers help to make our week journeying with God a success. Throughout the week, the children learned about journeying with God by participating in bible stories, bible activities, mission projects, games, music, crafts, and snacks. The children also learned to: know your guide, follow your guide, trust your guide, staying on track, and keep watching. The motto for our week was “This is the way, walk in it” from Isaiah 30:21.

One of the mission projects we worked on as a group this year was collecting school supplies and offering for Pennridge FISH Backpacks for Kids. The children also made fun bags at the mission station that included toys, candy, stickers, and other fun things for children in need. Many of the participants were very excited about the mission work we did throughout the week. There were many fun activities for the children which included Books of the Bible Bowling, making comfort and prayer pillows, water races, obstacle courses, hot dog eating, and storytelling. It was a great time full of fun and excitement. Thank you to the St. Andrew’s and St. Paul’s congregations for all your support and love through donations, volunteering, participating, and so much more. We are looking forward to Vacation Bible School 2016!
