Christian Rebels Evangelizing the World

The Senior Youth Fellowship has recently voted to name themselves C.R.E.W., which means “Christian Rebels Evangelizing the World”. We are hoping to live up to our new name by being Christians who change the world by getting into the right kind of trouble.

Youth Retreat Recap

C.R.E.W., the Sr. Youth Fellowship, went on a retreat to Mensch Mill on January 15th to plan a Worship Service being held in the spring. Eleven of us traveled to the Mensch House Friday night arriving around 7:30 pm. We moved into our rooms, then we met for devotions and to discuss some ideas for worship. We met again on Saturday morning starting with devotions and singing led by Tif Holloway. With the help of Pastor Scott as our facilitator, we started the planning. As Pastor Scott and our advisors left us the ideas started to flow and the “Spirit” was moving. After much time of ideas and planning we then took some free time on Saturday afternoon to explore the camp, which was great fun. It was a beautiful day to explore the creek, go to Vesper Hill, and hike the grounds. We also enjoyed being in the Mensch House with the planning sessions at the tables and a fire on Saturday night. Sunday we planned and held our worship service and then packed to go home. It was a great weekend and we hope to go back on retreat again in the fall. Now we will be meeting every other week after worship to keep the juices flowing. We currently have 14 youth participating and other youth are invited to join us. We cannot wait to lead worship on April 11th.
