Music Ministries

Senior Choir

The Senior Choir gets together to sing on a weekly basis during Worship. We sing a variety of types of music such as classical, contemporary, spiritual, and gospel. The choir practices weekly on Wednesdays from 7:00 – 8:30 pm. We also sing for special services such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, Lent, and Easter. It is a great way to share some fellowship, and sing praises to God. We all enjoy our time together and sharing our musical abilities with others. Feel free to come out and join us!

Bell Choir

The Bell Choir consists of very dedicated and talented members of the congregation who love to bring the lovely tingling, joyous sounds of bell-ringing to our church service. We are a close-knit family of ringers who meet on Thursday nights for one hour to practice traditional, classical and contemporary pieces to present at selected church services. We usually play six to seven times a year from September to May – usually in October, Thanksgiving Sunday, Christmas Eve, in February, during Lent, on Palm Sunday, and Mother’s Day. Bell-ringing is both inspirational and jubilant! The fun and fellowship experienced by all participants is awesome! We invite anyone who can count (reading music is a help, but not mandatory) and loves a different kind of music, to join us anytime! We have over four octaves of bells and always need ringers. The choir is directed by Shirley Metzger, a lifetime member of St. Andrew’s.

Thursday evening rehearsals 7:30 – 8:30 pm

Guitar Group

The Guitar group is comprised of church members and visiting musicians who have come together to glorify god in song. For over three years the musicians have been playing everyone’s favorite selections and turning things upside down by taking familiar hymns and rewriting the music. The members of the guitar group truly enjoy each others gifts and focus on having fun during their practices while praising God in song. Whether you play guitar, the harmonica, the tambourine or just like to sing we encourage you to join us. New members are always welcome.
